Our History

The vision for the Academy was born in1974 of the desire by its founder Bishop Adam G. Lopez after reading and understanding with great appreciation the passage of scripture found in Proberbs 22:6:

"Train up a child and when he is old he will not depart from it."

 

This objective was becoming more challenging with each and every passing year. The topics found in God's word have been removed from the standard curriculum offered in complimentary education and a growing culture often in direct contrast to God's word was being introduced as acceptable alternatives to God's direct instruction.

 

Thus, Pastor Lopez sought for the establishment of an institution that could satisfy this objective. After hours of prayer, the Lord directed Pastor Lopez to the newly developing individualized learning system provided by the School of Tomorrow.

Our Purpose

The church community of the Union City Apostolic Church and the dedicated staff of the Union City Christian Academy are have set their sights on accomplishing the goals sought by the WORD OF GOD.

 

We seek to provide an environment free of non-productive distractions that will enable the students to learn all the fundamental requirements found in standard education; that being reading, writing, science and mathematics and a solid foundation of Christian character traits.

Our Method

The Union City Christian Academy has used and continues to utilize a system of learning that bridges both personal motivation with appropriately matched skill building activities ensuring mastery of required course material.

 

This individualized approach matches students with the appropiate level of skill building curriculum with his or her appropriate performance level. Students are then supervised, motivated, and rewarded for their respective accomplishments.
